We minister to those strangers in our midst and to those around the world. We place great value on giving not only money to support ministry to others, but on giving our time and ourselves individually and corporately to service. Be a part of God’s work in the world!

Christmas in July for Seafarers
Navajo Mission trip
Thank you to the Six Northwoods members and two Navajo men, Dexter and Jeremy helped with the Navajo Reservation as well as those who helped to prepare for the trip. Mark Williams, the Pastor of Cornfields and Steamboat Church on the reservation also runs the construction ministry and planned the construction projects for the group. The first two days were spent helping a single mother, Loretta, build a kitchen for her and her five children.
The Cornfields Church has helped to completely transform this woman’s home and we were honored to be a part of making it not only comfortable but a place they feel they can invite visitors without embarrassment. With cabinets from both Habitat for Humanity Northwest Restore and Home Depot, we were able to give her the new kitchen of her dreams as well as fix some of the plumbing that needed to be repaired. Once the kitchen was complete, our group worked on the room for the church’s sewing ministry.
After putting on trim, painting floors and fixing a leaky roof our job was done. The trip was a great success that changed the life of a woman who was in need and helping the church to expand their ministry.
Flood Relief and Rapid Response Team
After the extreme flooding that happened in April, many Northwoods members stepped up to join a team for disaster response. Many members worked extra hours at NAM & the Klein Distribution center as well as donated over $5,000 for disaster relief. Thanks to the quick planning of NAM as well as the Red Crossand FEMA for putting a plan into place to help the community. If you would like to join the Northwoods Rapid Response team to help after disasters please contact Beth@northwoods.org
